KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 - Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his condolences on the passing of an economic figure, great thinker and activist Professor Khurshid Ahmad. He passed away yesterday.

He described the passing of Prof Khurshid Ahmad as a great loss to the Islamic world.

"He was not just a scholar, but the architect of modern Islamic economic thought and co-founder of The Islamic Foundation in the UK.

May Allah SWT accept all his good deeds, forgive all his sins, expand his grave, and place him among the martyrs and righteous," said Anwar in a post on Facebook.

The Prime Minister also hoped that the legacy of knowledge left by Khurshid Ahmad would continue to shine for future generations.
