PETALING JAYA, April 2 - Six vans have been provided as a free door-to-door intermediary service to assist victims of the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights.

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) in a statement said the service using the Rapid KL On-Demand van facility will operate starting tomorrow until the situation returns to normal.

This is to facilitate the movement of victims to obtain their essential items and personal documents from their respective homes.

"The route that will operate is from the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at the Putra Heights Mosque Hall to the residential areas encompassing Putra Heights, Kampung Puchong Tengah and Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru.

"In addition to the bus captain, senior traffic control officers and auxiliary police will also be on site to assist the community in moving to and from the PPS, while ensuring that the service runs smoothly," the statement said.

Prasarana is also working with the Petaling District and Land Office to ensure that the mobility needs of victims are well managed.
