ALOR SETAR, February 14 - More than 500 participants attended the Yasin recital and prayer ceremony in conjunction with Nisfu Sya'aban at the state level for the year 2025 AD, corresponding to 1446 Hijri, held at Masjid Zahir here last night.

The event began with the Maghrib prayer led by the Chief Imam of the Zahir Mosque, Sheikh Mohd Naim Ahmad.

This was followed by the Yasin recital three times, praying for long life filled with good deeds, abundant lawful sustenance, and a death in perfect faith.

The ceremony concluded with the congregational Isha prayer.

Also present at the event were the Kedah State Secretary, Datuk Seri Norizan Khazali; Kedah State Religious Exco, Datuk Ustaz Azam Abd Samat; Kedah State Mufti, Datuk Paduka Sheikh Fadhil Awang; Kedah State Islamic Affairs Department Officer, Datuk Dr. Abd. Ghani @ Zulkifli Zainuddin, along with senior state and federal government officials.
