Number of people affected by floods in Johor, Sabah unchanged

KUALA LUMPUR, April 6- A total of 254 people from 88 families have been affected by the floods in Johor, as of 6.00 am today.

The number has not changed since midnight.

According to the Disaster Portal of the National Disaster Control Centre (NDCC) by National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), it covers the Batu Pahat district, with only one temporary relief centre (PPS) opened in the district.

Apart from Johor, Sabah has also been affected by the floods.

In Sabah, a total of 131 people from 29 families so far remain in one PPS.

"It involves Kinabatangan. Only one PPS has been opened in the district," the statement read.
