MAIWP Taqwa Foundation donates RM200,000 to help victims of gas pipe fire

PUTRA HEIGHTS, 3 April – The Taqwa Foundation of the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) has made an initial contribution of RM200,000 to assist the victims of the recent gas pipe fire incident in Putra Heights.

In a statement, Datuk Dr. Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), expressed that the donation is a gesture of solidarity and care to help ease the hardships faced by those affected by the disaster.

"Seeing the impact of the incident and hearing the victims' stories truly moved me. This contribution is not just about numbers, but a small effort to lighten the burden of our brothers and sisters who are going through this trial," he said.

He also extended his gratitude to all agencies involved in the relief efforts since the incident began and prayed for continued strength for the victims.

Dr. Mohd Na'im assured that the government remains committed to supporting those affected by the disaster and will continue to work towards ensuring their well-being.
