Flood situation in Tatau remains unchanged

KUCHING, Jan 27- The flood situation in Tatau district, Sarawak, remains unchanged.

The Rumah Steven temporary relief centre (PPS) is housing 34 individuals affected by the floods from 13 families.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat reported that three areas, namely, Kampung Dagang Tatau, Kampung Baru Tatau, and Wharf Pasar Baru, are among the 14 locations that recorded increasing water levels.

Seven locations in the Sebauh district and four in Kuching also recorded increases in water levels.

Meanwhile, the Department of Irrigation and Drainage website reported six monitoring stations in Sarawak with water levels exceeding the danger level as of 9 am today.

The six stations include two in Bintulu and one each in Kapit, Miri, Sibu, and Limbang.
