KUALA LUMPUR, March 4- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim handed over a donation to an elderly person, known as Mazanah Hashim, who is looking after her disabled grandson in Permatang Pasir, Penang.

In a post shared on the Prime Minister's Facebook, the donation was presented by the Prime Minister's Political Secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farzan Fauzi.

"At every opportunity, I will deliver financial assistance from the Prime Minister to ease the family's burden. However, this effort does not stop here.

"God willing, through a collaboration between the the Zakat Pulau Pinang and the Social Welfare Department (JKM), a follow-up assistance will continue to be delivered to ensure that Mazanah and her family gets out of hardcore poverty immediately.

"I hope that with this effort, Puan Mazanah and her family will be able to live a better life, without any more hardships. May their future be more secure and all matters will be made easier," he said.
