KUALA LUMPUR, 18 Nov- The worrying rise in diabetic patients in their twenties in Malaysia urges the importance of cultivating a healthier lifestyle.
According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey in 2023, more than 10 percent of Malaysian are diabetic which accounts for about 3.6 million people.

In an interview after being a guest at Selamat Pagi Malaysia, she explains the long-term impacts of undiagnosed diabetes.
"Diabetes itself is associated with a lot of complications. So it can involve a kidney, we have many patients with kidney failure that needs dialysis nowadays. It also involves eyes that can cause blindness and we have more and more patients who have heart attack which is complications to the heart," she said.
She added, "All these complications arise from uncontrolled, undiagnosed diabetes itself. So this is the things that we have to stop from happening to reduce the burden to our healthcare in Malaysia."
