180 CCTVs to be installed in Putrajaya, Labuan for security purposes

PUTRAJAYA, 19 February– The Federal Territory continues to be driven towards sustainable development and smart cities through the vision of CHASE City 2025-2029, which focuses on people's well-being, technological innovation, and socioeconomic improvement.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territory), Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, said as an initial step to form a smart city, as many as 180 closed circuit cameras (CCTV) will be installed in Putrajaya and Labuan. In addition, CCTV around Kuala Lumpur will also be integrated with the Kuala Lumpur Control Center to improve security monitoring.

"In my opinion, the responsibility of developing the Federal Territory is not only on the shoulders of the government, local authorities (PBT), and agencies, but it also needs to involve all stakeholders."

"We want to ensure the development of the Federal Territory is more sustainable, prosperous, prosperous, and livable for its citizens," she said.

Dr. Zaliha also urged all parties, including employees of the Federal Territory, to continue to strengthen governance and speed up the resolution of people's complaints to ensure the effectiveness of services to the community.

In the meantime, she stressed that the government is committed to ensuring that the economic spillover is felt by every level of society in the Federal Territories, especially the urban poor.

According to her, the Community Entrepreneur Development Program (PUSH), which previously successfully helped the B40 group, will be expanded to more beneficiaries including women and the urban poor.

Dr. Zaliha said this in a press conference after officiating the Ministerial Aspiration Council in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territory) 2025 in Putrajaya today.
